One of our first ever productions is likely the dreamiest yet. LG filmed a commercial for their smartphone in which friends and family are called via Twitter to come help restore a carousel. Late in the night, the carousel comes to life and illuminates the space attracting neighbors to marvel in its wonderment.
In the "Art Imitates Art" episode of CBS's Elementary, a Richard Prince-esque art exhibit is the center of an investigation. One of the subjects featured in the gallery was shot and killed, and Sherlock is here to question the artist.
Our own Brooklyn neighbor Norah Jones brought together 200 guests for a special filmed performance on Live from the Artists Den. She performed a 20-song career-spanning retrospective set ranging from her breakthrough hit, "Don't Know Why," to her latest single, "Happy Pills."
Courtney Love is cast as a brainwashing dictator set out to destroy in Fall Out Boy's "Rat A Tat" music video. Her squad of minions are taught to put their "faith back in mayhem" and that they do. They've captured a new prey to turn into one of their own, but can the band save him in time?
Before Swan Dive became your favorite outdoor summer bar, it was just an empty parking lot behind the Green Building. But famed Vogue photographer Steven Meisel saw it as a blank slate for something else entirely: a haven for wanderers, a bohemian love fest. One of our favorite shoots of all time landed on Vogue Italia's cover for the December 2014 issue.
Check out the full spread below, and see if you can spot hints of the Green Building (spoiler: brick). Watch the video at Vogue Italia.
The Lone Bellow brought their Southern roots to the Green Building to record live performances of "Fake Roses" and "Then Came Morning." Their haunting songs of tragedy, hope, and redemption filled the space with soulful melodies. Watch below.
In between weddings, panel talks, dance performances, concerts, and workshops, we also host film and photo shoots of all kinds. Vogue Italia, Rolling Stone Magazine with Allen Stone, VEVO with the band Of Monsters of Men, Cosmopolitan, Estee Lauder with Kendall Kardashian, H&M and even more have shot with us lately. Most recently, the Green Building played a part Ryan Leslie's newest music video, "Designer Pain." See him play a beautiful grand piano in the middle of the empty main space for a bit of extra drama!
And make sure to check out the full music video below for your viewing pleasure (you can see us at 1:51, 3:47 and 4:25):
